Anna Furniss
B.AppS (Hum. Bio), M.Ost
Anna is a fully qualified osteopath registered with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand. She holds a current Annual Practising Certificate and is an ACC Health Care Provider. Anna graduated with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Human Biology in 2009 and a Master of Osteopathy in 2011 from Unitec, New Zealand.
Anna was attracted to the philosophy behind osteopathy, (for more information on this click here) and the hands on approach to treating the body. She is a passionate problem solver and cares about each and every person that she treats. Anna has a special interest in treating babies and women during their pregnancy. She wrote her Master's thesis on 'Women's attitudes to and Experience's of Osteopathy during Pregnancy.' and relished what she learnt. Anna has undertaken post graduate study in paediatrics, obstetrics, and cranial osteopathy and has completed papers in Infant and Young Child Health Essentials and Child and Adolescent Health Essentials through Ara Institute of Canterbury.
